GOVERNOR BLAGOJEVICH SIGNS SENATE BILL 354 AND HOUSE BILL 3618

Governor Blagojevich recently signed legislation making Illinois the first state to have a Registered Surgical Assistant and Registered Surgical Technologist Act (Senate Bill 354). We would like to thank Sen. Bill Peterson (R-Long Grove) the chief senate sponsor of this measure, who recently received the ISAA Legislator of the Year Award and the chief House sponsor, Rep. Dan Burke (D-Chicago). As well as the co-sponsors Senator John Cullerton (D-Chicago) and Representatives Robert Rita (D-Blue Island),Richard Bradley (D-Chicago), Bob Biggins (R-Elmhurst), Patti Bellock(R-Hinsdale) and Sen. Peterson (R-Long Grove).
